With EdBuild AI, ISEFAC automated the production of interactive learning content (H5P in particular) and ran an intensive production phase during the POC, while gaining a standardized export to plug that content straight into its learning platforms.
Context & challenges
ISEFAC (a higher education group) wanted to speed up the conversion of its existing teaching resources (presentations, instructor documents) into interactive learning content that is reusable and exportable to its learning environments (Moodle/LMS platform). The main challenges were:
- Produce high-quality H5P modules quickly, without piling up manual work.
- Get reliable exports (standard H5P formats and the matching libraries) to make integration easier.
- Support intensive production to meet a tight schedule (the need for a “burst” of content creation).
The solution proposed by EdBuild AI
EdBuild AI delivered a solution combining product development (an H5P export feature) and hands-on support:
- A dedicated H5P export was developed, including the libraries needed so that the generated packages are fully compatible with the ISEFAC LMS. It was delivered and tested with ISEFAC.
- Credits allocated for production: EdBuild AI provisioned significant production capacity (credits) so that an intensive production phase could run in a short time. This “credits” approach made it easy to scale volume fast.
- Hands-on support: kick-off, workshops and technical iterations with the teaching teams (onboarding, export testing, feedback and adjustments), to make the go-live smooth and build up the autonomy of the ISEFAC teams.
Rollout & timeline (what was done, step by step)
- Analysis phase: identifying the source formats (PowerPoint, PDF), defining the H5P constraints and the export requirements.
- Development & delivery: a version of the H5P export including the required libraries was built, delivered and made available for testing.
- Production kick-off: an intensive production period was launched with an allocation of credits to sustain a high module generation rate. This mechanism made large-scale output possible within the planned window.
- Iteration & industrialization: iterative feedback (fixes, export adjustments) and a stable workflow so that the ISEFAC teams can eventually run production on their own.
Key figures
- H5P export delivered: feature developed and tested with ISEFAC.
- Credits provisioned for the intensive production phase.
- Support: kick-off plus technical and operational workshops for onboarding and ramp-up.
Impact & benefits for ISEFAC
- Time saved: a long manual task became an automated production of learning modules.
- LMS compatibility: standardized, exportable H5P packaging that removes integration friction.
- Teaching agility: intensive production periods (creation campaigns) can be launched without extra coordination cost.
- Team autonomy: after the workshops and iterations, ISEFAC can use the platform on its own to build out its catalog.
